Komal Bajaj, MD, MS-HPEd, is Chief Quality Officer at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi | North Central Bronx, where she catalyzes quality improvement transformation across all aspects of healthcare delivery. She also serves as Medical Director of Sustainability for NYC Health + Hospitals and is a Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Dr. Bajaj is an internationally recognized physician leader who transforms complex healthcare challenges through human-centered, technology-driven approaches. Her innovative work has enhanced clinical care in a wide variety of practice settings and has resulted in millions in savings annually. She is known for creating practical solutions in simulation-based quality improvement and operations that have been implemented in healthcare systems worldwide. Komal is an inaugural National Academies of Medicine Diagnostic Excellence Scholar and served as an advisor to the Secretary of Health and Human Services from 2022-2025.

A board-certified OBGYN and reproductive geneticist, Dr. Bajaj trained at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her work has been featured in the New York Times, NPR, NEJM Catalyst, JAMA Health Forum, and BMJ Quality and Safety. She is a Fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine and a Becker’s Healthcare Review 2024 “Patient Safety Expert to Know.”

Tom Goldberg-Abramovici is the VP of Strategic Partnerships at Kahun Medical, a healthtech startup pioneering the reliable use of medical knowledge with LLMs. Over the past decade, Tom has held executive roles across the MedTech, data privacy, and mobile software sectors, including at Zebra Medical, focusing on business development, product, and strategic partnerships. She is also a graduate of the Zell Entrepreneurship Program.

Damiana Andonova, MHA is the managing partner at Wolcott and Winnemac, an interdisciplinary strategic consulting firm based in Chicago.  She holds an MHA from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in Health: Science, Society, and Policy from Brandeis University. Damiana has over 10 years of experience in healthcare strategic planning and digital transformation working for several organizations including Sg2, Phoenix Children’s, AVIA, and the American Journal for Healthcare Strategy. She is also the author of the Oath for Healthcare Leaders and a published poet. Her debut poetry collection was nominated as the best new poetry collection by a Chicagoan by the Chicago Reader in 2023.
