marker TOPIC: Clinician Builder - how to build medical software in the AI era

Dr. Michal Nedoszytko, MD, PhD, is an interventional cardiologist, clinician-scientist, and lifelong programmer. He trained at the Medical University of Gdansk, completed a PhD in cardiovascular genetics, and practiced in Poland and Belgium. From 2019 to 2024, he served as Head of Cardiology at CHR Mons-Hainaut/HELORA in Belgium.

Alongside clinical practice, Michal has built and coded healthcare tools throughout his career. In February 2026, he placed third out of more than 13,000 submissions in Anthropic’s global Claude Code hackathon. The story of a practicing physician coding between clinical work reached more than 3.5 million views worldwide.

Following that event, Michal joined Abridge as a Clinician Scientist and continues to build practical AI for healthcare in the Bay Area.
