Jani Tuomi

Healthcare Entrepreneur & Investor

marker TOPIC: Austin is the emerging leader in tech-enabled Bio & Health platforms, as measured by startups, capital invested, people working in the field, and companies growing and serving consumers and patients. Austin is "building at the frontier" of this convergence.

After having a family member go through the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, Jani started looking into the ways in which we practice “healthcare vs. sickcare”. He has launched 4 health-tech startups, focusing on using the information within our bodies to drive better health outcomes. Those startups include an at-home testing company, platform that works to address neuroinflammation and its role in conditions such as ALS, and a clinical grade wearable named Sensor Bio.
