Speakers
Founding Partner @ Scirena | Molecular Biologist | LATAM Biotech VC. Ecosystem Builder Based in NYC / Mexico City
Ashley Marín is the Founding Partner of Scirena BioVentures, the first structured two-way investment channel connecting biotech and life-sciences founders across the United States and Mexico. Based in New York, she works at the intersection of capital and operational support — pairing Scirena’s portfolio companies with hands-on infrastructure rather than referrals alone. Scirena’s inaugural cohort includes ventures like Moonlight Therapeutics and SciTherm, and its new alliance with Rubix Life Sciences gives founders on both sides of the border direct access to clinical development expertise.
Founder & CEO, Rubix LS | Evidence Generation for Pharma | RWE, HEOR, Precision Medicine, Translational Strategy & Strategic Partnerships
Dr. Reginald Swift is the Founder and CEO of Rubix LS, a clinical research organization built to close the equity gap in clinical trials — designing studies that reflect the real-world diversity of patients rather than the narrow populations traditional trials often capture. With a background in mechanical and biomolecular engineering, he brings over a decade of experience spanning aerospace, robotics, and life sciences to Rubix’s clinical infrastructure, which runs Phase 1 through 4 studies and supports preclinical work through its own labs. He also serves as a fractional Chief Scientific Officer for KIFFIK Biomedical, and Rubix LS recently formed a strategic alliance with Scirena BioVentures to extend its clinical development support across the U.S.-Mexico corridor.
Founding Partner at BHI - Bertelsmann Healthcare Investments
Tim Schneider is a co-founder and partner at Bertelsmann Healthcare Investments (BHI), a new healthcare-focused early-stage VC fund headquartered in New York. He has a non-linear path into healthcare, with an engineering degree and a background in finance, having started his career in PwC’s private equity deals practice. Tim scaled BHI’s European office in Berlin before moving to NYC. BHI is often the first U.S. point of contact for European and Israeli founders looking to gain a foothold in the U.S. BHI invests in a diverse array of early stage U.S.-based digital health companies.
