Bharat Rao, PhD, is a healthcare AI leader with over 25 years of experience building and deploying AI solutions that work. He has developed 20+ healthcare AI products, holds 60+ patents, and has authored over 150 peer-reviewed publications. His solutions have been deployed at thousands of health systems impacting millions of patients worldwide, and used by global pharma and biotech companies to improve care, research, and real-world evidence generation. He led the AI transformation of two multi-billion multinational corporations and is the recipient of the ACM’s highest lifetime award for contributions to AI and data science.

In this fireside chat, Dr. Rao shares hard-won lessons from 25 years of healthcare AI deployment: what works, what fails, and what to avoid. He draws on current partnerships with health systems and pharma to address underdiagnosis and undertreatment in chronic disease. He also highlights his latest effort: using predictive and generative AI to automate the transplant journey, driving financial sustainability, improving outcomes, and relieving care team burden across one of healthcare’s most complex workflows.

​Marjorie Morrison is a visionary entrepreneur, accomplished mental health professional, and licensed clinician with over 30 years of clinical and business experience. Known for her ability to identify challenges and implement strategic solutions, she has made transformative contributions to the mental health sector.

In her leading role as the  SHRM Mental Health Executive-in-Residence. In that role, she is building the SHRM Foundation and SHRM’s global mental health vision and strategy, while also fostering the development and innovation of workplace mental health products and services.
Morrison developed a proactive counseling program for the Marine Corps that remains in use today and founded PsychArmor Institute, a pioneering nonprofit that trains civilians to better support veterans. Later, she co-founded Psych Hub with Patrick J. Kennedy, scaling it into a leading digital platform for mental health education with over 1,500 resources and 30 million YouTube views, along with connecting people to care.

​Neil is a healthcare strategy and innovation leader. As a partner at North Gate Group, he advises clients such as health systems, payors, and venture studios. Neil is or has been an Advisory Board Member and leader for multiple startups in the Oncology, BH, and value-based care space. In his career, Neil has been a health system leader and a chief strategy officer for a post-IPO health tech startup, NantHealth. At NantHealth, he was responsible for portfolio management and building a new value-based care product line. Neil speaks at and helps lead a number of health care conferences, including Health Impact, HPN, among many others.

​​Neil also spent a decade at leading consulting firms, leading strategy and transformation projects. Neil’s clients included Kaiser Permanente, Lexington Clinic, Sisters of Mercy Health System, Steward, UnityPoint, Trinity, Dana Farber, the Military Health System, Montefiore, and the University of Virginia, among many others.
